CNH Industrial has joined two major data initiatives to provide mixed-fleet connectivity to farm equipment customers.

The company has now entered into two industry agreements for the management of equipment in the same farm with a single digital platform.

CNH Industrial agriculture president Derek Neilson said: “These agreements empower our customers to share and access data where and when they want.

“This is further evidence of our stated aim of developing a comprehensive suite of digital and connectivity services to help our customers run their farming operations with increased production efficiency.”

CNH Industrial has joined DataConnect and DKE Agrirouter data initiatives to manage mixed-brand fleets on a given operation

CNH Industrial has joined DataConnect, a data interface project launched by CLAAS, John Deere and 365FarmNet to allow mixed-fleet users to enable the exchange of machine data. It also now includes Case IH, STEYR and New Holland brands.

The company will join the DKE Agrirouter universal data transfer hub, which also includes 17 OEM brands and over 30 digital service providers. The hub will help customers to exchange task data between brands.

The initiatives, which focus on different elements of mixed-fleet access, are designed to remove obstructions for customers.

According to the company, the agreements need unique cooperation with industry competitors to provide the customers of Case IH, STEYR and New Holland connected fleet and farm services with the freedom to efficiently manage their mixed-brand fleets.

CNH Industrial agriculture digital and precision solutions and telematics global leader Morten Schmidt said: “Our customers’ needs are diverse, but rapidly expanding digital features and simplifying data movement benefits them all equally.

“DataConnect brings a logistics benefit with machine data and Agrirouter enables customers more avenues to exchange agronomic task information, but it is really all about removing data hurdles.”

CNH Industrial has brands such as Case IH, New Holland Agriculture and Steyr for tractors and agricultural machinery, Case and New Holland Construction for earth moving equipment, as well as Iveco for commercial vehicles.

In September this year, CNH Industrial has signed an agreement to acquire AgDNA, a provider of farm management information systems (FMIS).
