Crop One will licence its plant science and controls technology to vertical farm projects

Crop One Holdings has entered into a strategic partnership with Sino-Science North America Photobiotech (SNAP) for the development of future vertical farm projects.
SNAP is the parent firm of Sananbio, a producer of ultra-high bright LED wafers and chips.
Sananbio US technology sales president Michael Yates said: “On a combined basis, we believe Crop One and SNAP’s pipeline in vertical farms is the largest in North America, with the potential to serve a full range from large wholesale to speciality retail customers across the continent with mega-farms capable of producing three or more tons of crops per day.”
Development of future vertical farm projects
Crop One will be responsible for project development and plant operations for the future joint development projects, while SNAP will offer LED lighting and modern modular growing systems.
SNAP will also supply next-generation and fully automated vertical farm system called UPLIFT (unmanned platform of lean and intelligent farming technology).
For the projects, Crop One will licence its plant science and controls technology, while both firms will deliver technology, equipment, know-how and financing.
