Chinese agricultural products supplier Farmmi announced that its subsidiary Zhejiang Farmmi Food has moved to a new production facility on the first floor of its No. 888 Tianning Street location in Lishui, Zhejiang.

Farmmi had already secured an important food production license onsite audit and certification (SC License) for the new facility.

New facility to help Farmmi to meet demand

The Chinese agricultural products company said that it had moved to the new facility to accommodate its expanding production capacity to meet the demand.

Spread over in an area of 1,478,000ft², the new facility will be home to inspection, production, storage and shipping capacities along with a fully automated production line.

While the company has expanded its production facility, it will continue to keep its facility at No 307 Tianning Industrial Area for storage purposes.

Farmmi chairperson and CEO Yefang Zhang said: “We are very excited to receive a certification of our new, state-of-the-art Lishui facility. We are very proud of how fast our team was able to design, build and secure all regulatory approvals in the current challenging environment.

“We are fully aligned with the Government’s support for healthy food produced in a safe environment and industrial transformation. Our new facility will serve as a showcase for Farmmi’s vision of supporting customers and partners through technological innovation, as we work to reduce product costs and increase the supply of healthy foods.

“Finally, our new facility will keep our business expansion on-track by increasing our scale, capacity and efficiencies to meet higher customer demand levels.”

According to the Chinese government rules, businesses need the SC License for food production.

The license is claimed to provide important validation for both customers and supply chain partners on Farmmi’s facility environment, production standards, process flow, equipment layout and storage conditions, management protocols and personnel health.
