Golden Harvest’s new corn and soybean hybrid varieties offer a high yield, high weather tolerance and higher tolerance against herbicides

American seeds company Golden Harvest is expanding its product portfolio by the launch of new corn hybrids and soybean varieties for 2021 growing season.

The new product launch will include 12 new hybrids of corn and 22 new soybean varieties.

Golden Harvest stated that such a diverse portfolio was developed using elite genetics to equip farmers with an agronomic option for all types of fields, soil characteristics and weather conditions.

The seeds will be available from Golden Harvest Seeds Advisors, who will also advice based on local agronomic knowledge

The 12 new corn hybrids claim to range in relative maturity between 96 to 115 days.

The products include a hybrid with Agrisure Artesian technology, which is claimed to be the most advanced water optimisation technology for season-long performance. A 104-day hybrid, it also contains Agrisure Viptera, offering leading traits for a broad fit in central and western Corn Belt.

The second variety includes six hybrids with Agrisure Viptera trait are claimed to offer the most comprehensive above-ground insect control and the only effective western bean cutworm control trait.

The third variety includes five hybrids with Agrisure Duracade trait for above-and-below ground insect protection and the best-in-class corn rootworm control.

Syngenta strategic corn marketing manager Drew Showalter said: “The 12 new Golden Harvest corn hybrids are coupled with more industry-leading Agrisure traits than ever before and join a strong portfolio of Golden Harvest and Enogen corn hybrids that not only bring farmers outstanding agronomics like strong stalks and great roots, but also fit a wide variety of acres.

“We are introducing hybrids that are going to fit on highly productive acres and deliver top-end yield potential, and we’re also bringing our customers hybrids better suited for moderately productive acres, in the trait version they need.”

The 22 new soybean varieties join Golden Harvest’s portfolio which is touted to be at the forefront of weed control technology.

The soybean portfolio offers farmers access to Enlist E3, a new soybean technology, along with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans and LibertyLink GT27.

The seeds company claims that these varieties contain a broad choice of herbicide trait options, with high-yielding genetics.

The 22 new varieties range in relative maturity from .05 to 5.1 and offer advanced trait technology for maximum soybean yield.

The products comprise of 14 varieties which include Enlist E3 trait with three modes of action, offering tolerance to 2,4-D choline, glyphosate and glufosinate.

Six varieties include Roundup Ready 2 Xtend trait technology and two varieties include the new LibertyLink GT27 trait technology.
