US-based ISCA Technologies, Brazilian firm ISCA Tecnologias and Indian company ATGC Biotech have been merged to form new company called as ISCA Global.

The new company has been established to provide next generation insect control products for global market place, as well as play a significant role in making global agriculture sustainable.

ISCA products use pheromones and semiochemicals to manipulate the behaviour of targeted insect species before they become pests.

The products will help inhibit problem insects from mating, repel them from crops or attract them to minuscule amounts of killing agents while sparing honeybees and other wildlife unharmed.

ISCA Global will offer environmentally friendly solutions for most of the world’s most damaging insect pests

ISCA Global will also engage in the development of product for controlling mosquitoes and ticks, which spread disease.

ISCA Global will provide solutions for harmful insect pests, including fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda), the European grapevine moth (Lobesia botrana), the tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta) and the corn earworm (Helicoverpa zea).

It will also provide solutions for insect pests such as the cotton boll moth (Helicoverpa armigera), Mountain Pine Beetle (Dendroctonus ponderosa), the gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar dispar), the pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella), Carob moth (Ectomyelois ceratoniae) and  Tephritidae fruit flies.

ISCA Global will also work with India-based NATCO Pharma to capitalise on all the capabilities of the three consolidated entities across the value chain.

ISCA Global CEO Dr Agenor Mafra-Neto said: “Consumers want cleaner food and governments all over the world are mandating reductions in the use of conventional pesticides.

“Our products meet this need. They control devastating pests but avoid pest resistance and have minimal impact on the environment by minimizing the contamination of soil and water.”

Based in Riverside of California, ISCA Technologies has been involving in the development, testing and marketing of formulations and application methods for the farmers of row crops and specialty crops to minimise repeated insecticide applications.

ISCA products are offering crop protection in 30 countries across all geographies and climates ranging from hand application on some of the smallest farms in the world aircraft application on some of the largest farms in the world.

ATGC has worked to address complex pheromone production and other semiochemical syntheses with breakthrough innovations in chemistry and establishing major manufacturing partnership.

ISCA Brazil is a major place for critical manufacturing, field testing, and market development. The company marketed its first product for row crops for distribution on large Brazilian farms via partnership with a major agricultural supply player.
