Reinke Manufacturing, an irrigation solutions developer, and CropX, an agricultural analytics firm, have joined hands to provide growers with irrigation scheduling solutions.

The integration of Reinke and CropX’s technologies is expected to provide growers in more than 40 countries with access to soil health information, thereby allowing them to improve efficiencies, yields and profitability.

The combined experience of the two companies is expected to help in the development of easy-to-use product lines supporting growers.

Reinke Manufacturing president Chris Roth said: “We are very excited to make this strategic investment and partner with CropX as we continue to advance precision irrigation technology. Reinke is dedicated to irrigation innovation to help growers produce more while providing them with labor savings and environmental efficiencies.

“We’ve found that same level of commitment in CropX. We are proud to provide the world’s finest irrigation system and we believe this long-term relationship will strengthen both of our companies as we develop unmatched irrigation solutions to farms around the world.”

Growers from 40 countries are expected to benefit from the partnership

Growers using systems from both the companies will now be given access to CropX’s irrigation data-driven prescriptions that can be incorporated into their Reinke irrigation control system.

Growers with pivots using Reinke’s web-based application ReinCloud can now get additional benefits of remote operation of irrigation while managing CropX data through the integrated platform.

CropX president John Vikupitz said: “We are extremely pleased to announce this agreement with Reinke Manufacturing. Since its founding, CropX has maintained a commitment to be the global leader for on-farm irrigation and soil health tools. Today’s producers face mounting profitability, resource availability and sustainability challenges throughout the world.

“Our mission is to provide affordable, scalable, best-in-class technical solutions to meet these challenges. We are looking forward to partnering with the Reinke team to offer producers a technical platform to enable them to realize the tremendous untapped profitability to be achieved through proper management of soil health and irrigation prescriptions.”

In March this year, Reinke had acquired Ace Irrigation & Manufacturing to expand its manufacturing operation.

Ace, which started operations in 1952, manufactures aluminum and steel pipe for irrigation as well as culvert pipe and is located in Kearney, Nebraska.
