Cresco Labs, a multistate cannabis operator in the US, has completed the expansion of advanced cultivation and manufacturing facility in Brookville, Pennsylvania, US.

The expansion project helped the company to add more 66,000ft² of indoor and greenhouse cultivation area to the current facility. It allowed increasing the total space to 88,000ft² in the facility.

Cresco’s Brookville facility is said to supply house of brands to 100% of the licensed dispensaries in Pennsylvania.

With the addition of new and advanced extraction booths and integrated safety systems, the company has significantly improved the manufacturing capabilities of the facility.

According to Cresco, the expansion project offers a 300% increase in capacity for butane extraction and a 90% increase in ethanol extraction, which allows the company to better process its increased biomass to manufacture its full portfolio of brands, including Cresco, Remedi and Reserve.

The company plans to supply the products from the third, 22,000ft² phase into the market this month.

The production from the fourth, 22,000ft² phase is expected to start in July this year and will be increased across the remainder of the year.

“This expansion enables us to more efficiently cater to patients across the Keystone State and increase our operating leverage.”

In February 2018, Cresco Labs first entered the Pennsylvania market with the opening of its CY+ branded retail dispensary in Butler, which legally sells cannabis under the state’s medical-marijuana programme.

In August 2019, agritech company Seedo entered into a marketing and distribution agreement with online cannabis retailer Namaste Technologies for its home growing device in Europe.
