Farmers Edge, a developer of agriculture solutions, has partnered with Palliser Insurance, a hail insurance provider in Western Canada, to offer crop monitoring and risk management solutions to Canadian farmers.
The alliance will enable Palliser Insurance in simplifying its hail claims while offering coverage to growers using Farmers Edge’s risk management platform, FarmCommand.
Farmers Edge stated that the strengths of the two companies will address the most fundamental risk factors in farming, weather, to offer better protection to policyholders from the financial impact of hail.
Palliser can leverage Farmers Edge insurtech tools to increase claims management accuracy
Under the terms of the alliance, Palliser Insurance will access Farmers Edge InsurTech tools and new hail detection and reporting technology for increased accuracy of claims management, bringing down administration costs through automated detection, estimation, adjudication and reporting.

The solution can make it easier for growers to seamlessly form a digital connection with their insurer for near-instant claim identification and faster processing times.
